See two ArtsTech performances at Creative Realities, Wellington's headline event in TechWeek 2018

What would it look like if the New Zealand classical performing arts sector was infused with science and technology in the same way that our agriculture sector, our film industry and our high performance sports sector already are?

Experience two glimpses of the potential for technology to augment live classical performance in the opening and closing performances of Creative Realities.  You'll see two ArtsTech collaborations between the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Digl, coordinated by futurist and ArtsTech project founder, Stephanie Pride that demonstrate the potential for technology to extend the bounds of a classical art form, whilst keeping faith with its essence.

Watch and listen as the sounds and movements of live classical performers are transformed, in real time, into a work of visual art unique to the moment you are experiencing.

Using the same technology , Digl interacts with two different pieces of music and different NZSO musicians to generate two completely different artworks.

The opening performance is a Duo Concertante for two trombones by composer Daniel Schnyder and the closing performance is the ‘Finale’ from Joseph Haydn’s "Sunrise" string quartet opus 76. No.  4.
